  • 2015 – Tyrone Enters Port of Portland Mentor Protégé Program (MPP)

    The Port of Portland Mentor Protégé Program helps both Tyrone and his wife, Senta hone their skills in running a construction business. They became members of the Northwest Utility Contractors Association (NWUCA) member and also graduated from the Turner School of Construction.

  • 2014 – Tyrone Joins Industry memberships

    Tyrone became a member of both the Oregon Association of Minority Entrepreneurs (OAME) and National Association of Minority Contractors (NAMC). He furthered his education by attending Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) meetings and workshops.

  • 2012 – Tyrone Bailey Opens Bailey’s Construction Unlimited

    A full-service hauling company, serving clients like NW Natural Gas, Just Bucket Excavating via Stacy Witbeck, and the City of Portland.

  • 2008 – Tyrone Bailey Leaves Waste Management

    Tyrone Bailey leaves Waste Management and joins Workhorse Construction full time, learning the ins and outs of the construction industry and entrepreneurialism.

  • Mid 1990’s – Workhorse Construction

    While employed at Waste Management, Tyrone began taking side jobs with Workhorse Construction.

  • 1994 – Hello to Waste Management

    Tyrone chooses to leave Wilshire Division Police Garage and begins working as a driver for Waste Management.

  • Mid 1980’s – Tyrone Receives his CDL License

    Tyrone Bailey receives his CDL (commercial truck driver) license and begins managing a tow truck for the Wilshire Division Police Garage.
